The utility test lead and probe kits are designed to provide operator safety and long life use. Each kit includes 5 ft black and red silicone insulated leads terminated with right angle safety banana jacks at the meter end and threaded banana jacks at the measurement end to facilitate screw-on attachments. Attachments include pencil probes, alligator clips, spaded lus and grip probes. The use of screw-on attachments ensures that separation of the test lead from the measurement tip will not occur eliminating the cause of lost data and safety risk. Test leads, alligator clips, and pencil probes are 1000V CAT IV safety rated. Grip probes are 600 V CAT IV safety rated.

Introducing the New Fault Mapper
Pro® Model CA7027 The AEMC® Fault Mapper Pro® is a hand-held
graphical TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer) designed for identifying and locating
faults on power and communication cables, given access to one end only.
 The Fault
Mapper Pro® measures cable length and indicates the length and
distance to cable faults to a range of 9 ft (3 m) to 19,000 ft (6000m) on
virtually any type of cable. It injects a series of pulses into the cable under
test. The velocity at which the pulses travel is determined by the type of
cable, which is known as the velocity of propagation (Vp) of the cable. The
Velocity of Propagation (Vp) is adjustable between 1% and 99% enabling accurate
calibration to the cable under test.
 The Vp value is
expressed as a percentage of the speed of light (e.g. 67% or
ft/mtrs/micro-second), this value will vary according to the type of cable under
test. The Fault Mapper Pro® can accept user selectable values between
1 and 99% (or the equivalent value in feet or meters per micro-second).
 Based on the
selected Vp and the time taken for the pulses to travel through the cable, a
reflection profile of the cable under test is displayed. An adjustable cursor
assists in locating faults and termination.
 The Fault Mapper
Pro® incorporates an oscillating tone tracer, which is detectable
with a standard tone tracer, for use in the tracing and identification of cable
pairs.
Features:
- 11 range scales indicating cable faults and terminations up to 19,000 ft
(6000m) in feet or meters
- Detects opens, shorts, taps, faulty taps, bridge taps, splitters, high
resistance, wet cables, splices and more
- Identifies impedance mismatches
- Works with twisted pair, parallel and coaxial cable
- Selectable cable impedance (25Ω, 50Ω, 75Ω, 100Ω)
- Over-voltage protection up to 250V
- Adjustable cursor assists in locating faults and termination
- Built-in tone generator for tracing and locating cables
- Auto-Ranging scale
- Large high-visibility blue electroluminescent backlit display

The Fault Mapper Model CA7024 is a hand-held, alphanumeric, TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer) Cable Length Meter and Fault Locator, designed to measure the length of electrical and communication cables. It can also indicate the distance to a fault in the cable (open or short), given access to only one end of a two or more conductor cable.
By incorporating fast-edge step TDR technology, the Model CA7024 measures cable length and indicates the distance to open or short circuit faults. to a range of 6000 ft (2000m), on at least two conductors. The Model CA7024 indicates the cable length or fault distance and description, alphanumerically on a 128 x 64 graphical LCD.

Introducing the New Micro-Ohmmeter Model 6290
 The AEMC® high-current Micro-Ohmmeter Model 6290 is a
portable, microprocessor-controlled instrument. It has optimized filters and
protection for measurements in electrical substations. The Model 6290 can be
used to accurately measure very low contact resistances of high voltage circuit
breakers, switches, busbars, etc., with test currents up to 200A. It employs the
four-terminal Kelvin method to prevent errors caused by test leads and their
contact resistances.
Measurement accuracy is guaranteed through a state-of-the-art
signal amplification system, offset-free with high long-term stability.
Resistance readings are shown in the alphanumeric display with up to 4½-digit
resolution. It allows measurement resistances up to 20mΩ, and resolution of
0.1µΩ.
Test currents may be adjusted by the operator and are measured
using an analog bargraph indicator and backlit digital display.
 The Model 6290 has an
internal memory for storing up to 200 readings. The USB interface may be
connected to a computer to download the stored values. The high-current
generation system is based on modern technology that allows for a significant
decrease in both weight, 24.25 lbs (11 kg), and size. The case is made of hard
plastic, highly resistant to impact and environmental conditions. Internal
thermal sensors, in all sensitive components, prevent damage to the instrument
caused by overheating.
This is a rugged but lightweight instrument, and may be
easily carried by one person. It is water-resistant and can be used under poor
weather conditions (IP54 with closed lid) offering an excellent performance
working both in the laboratory and out in the field.
Features:
- Accurately measures low contact resistances with test currents up to 200A
- Measures resistances from 0 to 20mΩ
- Resolution of 0.1µΩ
- Analog bargraph indicator with backlit digital display
- Stores up to 200 test results
- USB interface
- Direct printout using supplied software and a PC
- Rugged, light-weight and water-resistant
