The value of early fire detection is immeasurable in the protection of human
life and valuable property. OmniguardŽ flame detectors are known throughout the
world for their outstanding quality and reliability in a wide variety of high
risk fire protection applications. A few applications where OmniguardŽ flame detectors are in use are silane manufacturing and storage, clean room wet bench, hydrazine manufacturing and storage, hudrogen storage, semiconductor manufacturing.
Discrimination between a true fire and a "false alarm" event is also critical
for efficient and cost effective protection management. That is why OmniguardŽ
flame detectors are widely used in aircraft hangars, fuel transfer stations,
natural gas compressor stations, and petrochemical storage facilities.
Using UV or IR sensors, or a combination of both, we are able to sense and
notify the user of various conditions and parameters of flame.
Our OmniguardŽ line of UV and UV/IR flame detectors (Models 660, 760, 860,
and 860 Multi-Spectrum) are used to notify when a potentially dangerous fire (an
"unfriendly fire") has started. All detectors are explosion-proof devices, and
are certified for use in hazardous area applications. Vibro-Meter, Inc.
pioneered both the first UV and the first UV/IR detectors, and continue to lead
the industry with superior performance, features, and quality.
Common Features for 660, 760, 860, & 860 Multi-Spectrum:
- Robust, explosion-proof construction certified for hazardous locations.
- FM, CSA, and ATEX approved.
- Microprocessor controlled operation.
- Advanced built-in automatic diagnostics with through the lens clarity checking and output devices monitoring.
- All models utilize the same weatherproof, hazardous location approved, aluminum
or optical stainless steel housing.
All OmniguardŽ Detectors provide:
five year warranty on the UV and IR sensors used in our
flame detectors
three year total warranty against component or
manufacturing defects
design, engineering, and manufacture exclusively by
Vibro-Meter, Inc.
We recently introduced our new Fuel Contamination
DetectorTM (Model 970), which is based on IR
sensors. This new detector is able to both monitor the presence of flame, and
also identify and quantify the presence of contaminates in the fuel being
burned. This is especially important to turbine manufacturers and
users.
